Small Business Saturday in Wisconsin The retail industry in the United States generates over 3 trillion dollars during the holiday season. One way to make it easier for your organization to capture those dollars is by participating in events like National Giving Tuesday and Small Business Saturday.

Held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving (November 26th in 2016), Small Business Saturday was first observed in 2010 as a reaction to all of the big box (and even bigger ecommerce) purchasing frenzies that occur on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The event is sponsored and promoted by American Express, and encourages shoppers to visit small, local, and sometimes brick-and-mortar businesses.
